Catholic Health Initiatives Selects QuadraMed to Provide Nationwide Master Person Index (MPI) Services
$ 5.8 million investment will help establish a unique patient identifier across all 86 CHI hospitals
TORONTO, ONTARIO – June 21, 2013 – N. Harris Computer Corporation (“Harris”), a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. (“Constellation”) (TSX:CSU) is pleased to announce that Catholic Health Initiatives has selected QuadraMed Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harris, to provide Enterprise Master Person Index data consolidation and cleanup services for its healthcare system. Catholic Health Initiatives is a national nonprofit health system operating in 18 states, and is the third largest faith-based health system in the U.S.
CHI selected QuadraMed as part of its nationwide strategy to establish a unique identifier for patients across all 86 of its hospitals. QuadraMed’s Enterprise Master Person Index technology— particularly its EMPI cleanup services—will be used to provide the critical MPI data consolidation services CHI requires to accomplish this goal.
“We’re delighted CHI entrusts QuadraMed to play such a vital role in its strategy to consolidate its personal health information and other patient data,” said Vicki Wheatley, QuadraMed EVP, Enterprise Master Person Index Solutions. “As an industry leader, CHI recognizes that establishing one unique identifier across multiple disparate hospital information systems will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure all clinical and financial information is available for patient care and billing. We look forward to helping CHI achieve its mission by leveraging our extensive experience and EMPI technology, which has been the KLAS category leader in the enterprise master person index segment for the past four years.”
Daniel Desaulniers, Group President of Harris’ Health Care Group, said “We’re pleased with the confidence CHI has in QuadraMed, and its recognition of QuadraMed as a reliable, long-term partner and industry leader. Harris is committed to the U.S. healthcare market, and to continuing to help organizations like CHI drive efficiency, improve patient safety, and meet their strategic objectives.”
