QuadraMed® Corporation (Amex: QD) today announced that its decision support experts will be demonstrating QuadraMed Performance Measurement and Clinical Outcome Practice Evaluator (COPE) products at the Annual Educational Conference of the National Association of Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). The demonstrations are scheduled for September 9-11 at the Hynes Memorial Convention Center, booth 413, in Boston.

Optimizing patient outcomes according to national benchmarks and mandated requirements have become critical for hospitals to improve patient safety and their financial well being. QuadraMed Performance Measurement is used by many of the nation's leading healthcare institutions to benchmark and improve their quality rankings. It also is the standard for trending and tracking of National Healthcare Quality Measures (NHQM) Core Measures for pay for performance initiatives. During the NAHQ Conference, QuadraMed will feature a new Performance Measurement module that further enhances the software's ability to incorporate NHQM Core Measures data into a single system. This helps hospitals to quickly and cost-effectively analyze critical care and quality performance on industry leading publicly reported measures, and can provide physician and patient level reporting for insight into care practices and variance from norms. Hospitals benefit from more comprehensive outcome measures, resource consumption and length of stay to improve both their quality of care and financial health. QuadraMed COPE demonstrations will enable the attendees to learn how their hospitals can capture electronic information for Core Measures, while minimizing requirements for manually abstracted input. COPE also offers hospitals the flexibility to enter supplemental data directly over a secure, Web-native ASP in full compliance with Joint Commission requirements for data accuracy reporting of all measurement sets, and can enhance internal decision support to improve quality of care.
