RESTON, VA — February 5, 2003 — QuadraMed® Corporation (Nasdaq: QMDCE) today announced that the Robert Wood Johnson Health Network has been named as the first recipient of QuadraMed's new, annual "Pinnacle Award of Excellence" in recognition of its documented leadership in improving patient outcomes. One of the Network's six member hospitals, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, was also recognized for its outstanding performance as an individual healthcare facility.

QuadraMed launched its Pinnacle Award of Excellence program in 2002 to recognize noteworthy hospitals and integrated delivery networks (IDN) that have implemented QuadraMed's Performance Measurement System. Applicants were asked to exhibit innovation and excellence based upon verifiable performance. The Robert Wood Johnson Health Network is being recognized for significantly reducing mortality rates as well as surgical and obstetric complication rates.

The Robert Wood Johnson Health Network achieved its statistically significant outcome rates by committing to tracking and reporting outcomes for individual hospitals and the Network, by sharing best practices, and by focusing on performance improvement initiatives as part of an aggressive quality care agenda.
